PerfMan for z/OS Specialty Engine Support
PerfMan for z/OS fully supports performance management and capacity planning for IBM's specialty engines, the zIIPs and zAAPs. This includes tracking of specialty engine resource consumption by LPAR and by Workload, reporting on where zIIP and zAAP eligible work is actually run and the total consumption of processor resources by processor type.
ISM CMG 2006 User Group Meeting at the National 2006 CMG Conference was fortunate to have Mr. Peter Enrico, Enterprise Performance Strategies, Inc. present his paper entitled zIIPs & zAAPs - A Primer.
